Baltimore Orioles Salute Veteran on his 90th birthday

We arranged with the Baltimore Orioles to salute a WWII Veteran on Spirit of 45 Day, marking the end of the fighting in WWII.  He was celebrating his 90th birthday which was on Veterans November 11.  Ben Gartner turned 90 years old on 11/11/2011.  He was recognized and saluted with an on-field appearance with Orioles relief pitcher, Zach Britton, who presented him with an authentic Orioles team jersey.  There was also a video presentation that appearing on the Jumbotron TV at Oriole Park at Camden Yards before the game.

Barbasol Pitching Change during Broadcast of Major Baseball Games on the radio.

We arranged for radio commercials to air on radio broadcasts of the New York Mets, York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles. The spots encouraged listeners to change the way they shave and switch to Barbasol.

Schick and The Chicago Bears of the NFL.

We Negotiated talent fees with Chicago Bears Quarterback to promote the close shave he receives when he uses Schick Razors.  It also goes great when he’s had his morning cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee.  The campaign which I created and managed was supported with radio ads and in-store collateral materials.

Veterans Salute, Washington Capitals Game

We coordinated a special veterans salute with the Washington Capitals that was held prior to an NHL game at the Verizon Center in Washington DC.  Sgt. Ben Gartner is a veteran who served in the Philippines during WWII, was saluted by the Washington Capitals game during the singing of The National Anthem.  Ben’s birthday is November 11th and on Veterans Day the Caps introduced him to a sellout crowd to celebrate his 95th birthday and to thank him for his service.  He also appeared on television as a guest on the Caps Pre Game telecast.

NBA and Boston Celtic Star Dee Brown vs. Fred The Baker of Dunkin Donuts

We produced a television spot with Dee Brown and Fred where they show each other how to dunk in their respective professions…Dee to dunk a basketball in a basketball net and Fred to dunk a donut into a cup of coffee.

We negotiated with the television station for the advertising air time. I also negotiated for the talent fee for Dee Brown’s services with the Boston Celtics and The National Basketball Association.
